Hachette Aotearoa New Zealand
Erin Palmisano is a dual NZ and US citizen. She grew up reading books and has always wanted to write stories. She started writing while she was travelling the world, and her passions have merged in these novels, where food, wine and travel come together with a hint of magic. Erin's debut novel, The Secrets of the Little Greek Taverna, was a No. 1 New Zealand fiction bestseller. Erin and her chef partner live in Nelson, New Zealand, where they own and operate three restaurants.
Hachette Aotearoa New Zealand is part of Hachette Group, one of the world’s leading trade publishers. Our mission is to make it easy for everyone to discover new worlds of ideas, learning, entertainment, and opportunity. Our ambition is for our team, our publishing, and our authors to be fully reflective of the society we live in.
As part of the global Hachette group, we benefit from being part of a worldwide publishing powerhouse while staying true to our uniquely local perspective. We are committed to working closely with all our stakeholders, including authors and illustrators, booksellers and media organisations.
We are passionate about supporting homegrown talent and champion a diverse range of voices and stories with a strong connection to Aotearoa through our local publishing divisions Moa Press and Little Moa. We take great pride in nurturing these voices and providing them with the support they need to succeed. We discover emerging illustrators through the annual Margaret Mahy Illustration Prize.
We represent Phaidon, NewSouth Books and Major Street Publishing in the New Zealand market.
